SOCIAL COMMITTEE CHARTER

Membership

Membership is open to unit owners, both resident and non-resident.  The president shall appoint the chairperson and appoint the members, subject to the recommendation of the chairperson.

Purpose

To advise and assist the board of directors in providing opportunities for owners and residents to get acquainted and share common interests, concerns and goals for our community in a congenial, cordial, hospitable setting.  Specifically, the committee will:

1.     Work with the property manager to develop an annual calendar of recreational / social programs.

2.     Develop and implement activities for various occasions.

3.     Work with the property manager to develop an annual budget for recreational / social programs.

4.     Advise the board of the recommended collection of fees for certain events.

5.     Develop a method to obtain and share information concerning senior residents and residents with health or physical difficulties.
