Skybridge Maintenance Detail Schedule  

The following is a description of the various cleaning duties that are performed by the Skybridge maintenance staff.

Lobby                          Dock

Hallways                      Compactors

Report any stains, damage to walls, etc. to Chief Engineer in writing

 

Chute:

Spray soap inside chute at 39th floor

Wash down as needed at 39th floor

 

Compactor Room:

Sweep then hose down floor

Remove any debris from drain

Hose down with chemical in bottom of chute

Wipe down doors

 

Compactors:

Should be cleaned in dock or in compactor room

Remove residual trash with scraper

Spray with chemical then rinse with water

Deodorize

This should be checked AND CHANGED as often us you are in the lobby and done as often as needed, especially on the weekend!!!

 

Dock:

Sweep or backpack vacuum floor

Remove all debris on floor

Hose down dock floor

Break down any boxes & place in recycling bin

Wipe down doors leading up to lobby

 

Dog Run:

Sweep

Hose down entire run with chemical

Replace supplies as needed

 

Fitness Center/Skydeck:

Restrooms

All toilets & sinks & counter tops

Sweep & mop restroom floors, pour water down floor drains

Mirrors and walls are to be wiped down

Replace any paper items as needed

Trash bag should be removed & new bag put in

Spray deodorizer

Equipment wiped down and sanitized

Remove any debris

Replace any bad bulbs

Vacuum floor, including closets

Wipe & clean Skydeck doors & windows

Wipe baseboards & metal moulding

Inside & outside of windows as needed

Report any equipment that is not working to Management ASAP!!!

 

Hallways:

Vacuum floors using large vacuum cleaner        

Detailing of hallways:

Cleaning of bridge glass top to bottom

Dusting & stain removal on bridge moulding

Elevator tracks (1,2,3) should be free of debris and polished

Base boards should be dusted and if needed cleaned with Murphy’s oil soap & water

            All signs, canned lighting, doors, door jambs, sconces, extinguisher boxes, & vents should be dusted & debris free

Phone/Cable closets, ComEd meter rooms should be dusted and backpack vacuumed

Elevator call button should be polished and doors wiped down

Bridge panels should be dusted

Any marks on walls or doors should be removed quickly

Carpet stains should also be taken care of ASAP

Any anomalies such as missing items, holes in wall, bad outlets, etc. should be written down and given to the Chief Engineer

Spot check bridge glass and clean when necessary. Look for hand prints and dirt. Do any window that needs cleaning even if it is not on the work detail schedule!!!

 

Lobby:

 You are required to use proper chemicals & equipment when doing lobby work

 

Sweep outside.  This includes outside revolving door, entryway to dock, building                                                                 driveways & in front of building on Washington .  Remove debris from all planters

Wipe down revolving door and clean glass

Remove any marks on walls or doors

Dust metal baseboards and clean any marks or stains

Clean any glass that is dirty (i.e. fingerprints)

Remove any rugs in lobby then sweep and mop floor.  Replace & vacuum rugs

Remove filters from control panel work station and clean.

Open bulletin board and clean glass

Clean restroom toilet, floor, and sink. Remove trash.  Refill paper items & soap as needed

Change any bulbs that may be out

Dust furniture.

Night shift lay down rugs at 6:30am in elevators 1,2.  Afternoon shift remove rugs 5:00pm.

Spot check elevators 1,2,3.  This includes ceiling of elevators, wipe buttons & replace burnt out bulbs

Wipe/clean elevator tracks in elevators 1,2,3

Vacuum elevator carpet, wipe down walls & remove and stains in elevators 1,2,3

Special areas of detail:                                     

            Light fixtures over elevators

            Control Panels

            Metal baseboards/Windows (upper section)

            Dust inside fire extinguisher boxes

 

Lower Level Corridors:

Sweep and trash

Return any shopping carts to Dominick’s found in corridor

Include corridor leading to mechanical room

Remove stains if found

 

 

Managers Office/Conference Room:

Remove all trash

Wipe down & clean toilet, sinks, & counter top

Sweep & mop restroom floor

Replace any paper items as needed

Replace any bad bulbs

Vacuum rug

Dust all furniture

Replace filter as needed

Wipe down & clean walls, windows, & moulding

Pour cleaning water down drain

 

Stairwells:

Sweep stairwells

Remove any stains if possible with scrubber and water

Dust railings, lighting, standpipe, signs, and light cover inside & out when changing bulbs

Doors and door jambs must be dusted & any marks removed

 

Storage Lockers/Lower Level:

Sweep & backpack vacuum floors

Remove all items outside lockers

Change all bad bulbs

Wipe down doors

Remove trash in can near freight

 

Trash Rooms:

Floors swept & mopped

Spray deodorizer when needed

Trash chute doors cleaned inside & out

Remove any debris

Wipe down walls

Wipe down all elevator doors (1,2,3) & call buttons

Elevator tracks

 

Trash Run:

Bring mop bucket & mop

Floors with trash-remove trash and mop floors
